How does it work?
Easily do your own billing and track payments.
Step 1 – Create the patient file
- First name
- Surname
- Medicare or Veterans number
- Date of birth
- Gender (only required for veterans claims)
- Health fund and membership (only required if an ECLIPSE claim)
Create your patient file by entering a few minimum bits of information, just enough data to get your claims paid. This is simply:
Now that the patient file is created, you will not need to enter these details again, next time you need to bill the same patient, just look up their patient file.
Step 2 – Create your claim
Next once your patient is created, start your new claim by selecting:
- The doctor that provided the service
- Then entering the date of service
- Also adding the hospital provider (if service was provided in hospital)
- Adding any referring dr details (if required)
- Adding any specific data based on your discipline
- Then the last step is entering the item numbers you wish to claim
You do not have to worry about any medicare or veterans fees, we will ensure they are updated for you. The health fund fees are available for import from our website, so with a few clicks you can get the latest health fund fees whenever they get updated.
Step 3 – Submit your claim
Once you have created your claim, well after create a bunch of claims, then you will send the claims electronically, this process takes just a few seconds
Step 4 – Check for payments
You will start to see money drop into your bank account within a few days, depending on the claim type. eClaims makes it easy to track which claims are paid and which are pending. No more bits of paper or keeping excel spreadsheets and manually keeping track of payments or rather lack of payments!
Do you already have this claim data ready to import? Save time by importing the data.
Step 1 – Create the import file
Export/Create the import file from you main system, we need at a minimum:
- About the patient
- First name
- Surname
- Medicare or Veterans number
- Date of birth
- Gender (only required for veterans claims)
- Health fund and membership (only required if an ECLIPSE claim)
- About the claim
- Date of Service
- Item Numbers
- Provider Number of servicing practitioner
- Referring dr details (if required)
- Hospital provider (if required)
- Any other data specific to your discipline
Step 2 – Import the file into eClaims
You will only need to log into eClaims, when you need to import a file or check for payments or rejections. Once logged in, you will select your file to import.
eClaims will do an integrity check and ensure the file has all the necessary data eg patient date of birth. If anything is missing, eClaims will produce a report and not import the file.
If the file is good to import, it will import the data and prepare the data in a format Medicare/DVA or the health funds require.
Step 3 – Check for payments
You will start to see money drop into your bank account within a few days, depending on the claim type. eClaims makes it easy to track which claims are paid and which are pending. No more bits of paper or keeping excel spreadsheets and manually keeping track of payments or rather lack of payments!
